ZS Cognitive Wellness is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. This model allows us to provide comprehensive, individualized neuropsychological services without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies.
Insurance plans frequently restrict the amount of testing time, the types of assessments covered, and the scope of services that can be provided. By working outside of insurance networks, we are able to conduct thorough evaluations based on clinical need rather than insurance guidelines. This also allows for greater privacy, as we are not required to share sensitive personal or diagnostic information with insurance companies unless you choose to submit for reimbursement.
Superbills
If you would like to seek reimbursement, we are happy to provide a superbill — a detailed receipt that includes the necessary diagnostic and service codes for you to submit to your insurance provider. Many clients with out-of-network benefits receive partial reimbursement, but coverage varies widely by plan.
We recommend contacting your insurance company and asking:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychological or neuropsychological testing?
What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?
Is preauthorization required?
Are there limits on the number of testing hours covered?
Please note that payment is due at the time of service, and ZS Cognitive Wellness cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement.
